D12 Input for Wideband on JDM ECU
Let me just start by saying my LC-1 works perfectly,as witnessed by the XD-1 gauge attached to it & also when reading the analogue output thru another meter i had setup.
There are NO installation errors,NO voltage offsets,& about 12-18 months ago it also worked perfectly when attached to the D12 input on my JDM P72 ECU.
However,when i tried to have a look into my tune today,the D12 input doesnt work anymore,it just reads 0 Volts.I tested the wires at the ECU & the output of the LC-1 was reading a voltage which matched the AF on the XD-1,so no problems with input to the ECU,but nothing coming out from Smanager.Also i set the sensor setup window on analogue 1 to read volts,min 0V,max 5V.In settings i left all the conversions for analogue1 at values of 0.00.
D12 on the JDM ECU seems to have stopped working since you guys changed the wideband setup to reside in the ECU calibration.The ECU still has the same capacitor at C42 that was there when it worked perfectly previously.
The cap has 2 numbers on it 10 & 16,i assume this means it is a 10pF capacitor.Do i now have to change it to a 0.1uF capacitor to bring it into line with some sort of changes you guys have made to S manager in the way it reads the analogue 1 input?
Or is it possible to revert Smanager to the way it used to read somehow?
Is this just a JDM ECU issue?
By the way,D10 ELD does not work on the JDM P72 ECU(or not my one at least),it consistently reads 1 full AF point too high,so i cant use it,there is some sort of voltage offset when using D10.

Using ELD input as wideband is not a good idea. S300 disable ELD error only, but ELD correction is still working! You can tune maps with wideband at ELD connected, but when you detach wideband from ELD input - AFR will be poor.
Use EGR input in JDM ECU. You need just 2 diodes and 3 junction. And it working best of all.
Maybe sometime hondata will add choice possibility of EGR port input for USDM or JDM ECUs.

i doubt the admins will read this,but if this is indeed the case,would it be possible to update firmware to have the option to read the different port address?
please.....please.......it would be nice to have at least one input on a jdm ecu..............please.......i'll make donation to your favourite charity..........
it seems before i started this thread that i musta had some highly vivid dream that i got the D12 input working(after many frustrating hours of trying to get the LC-1 working on ELD) or i had some magical crosstalk on the board at the time............or some even more magical fairy decided to take up residence in my ecu & convert the info for me.................hmmmmmm,i might pay a visit to the local shrink,lol.

what u say would definitely explain some of the confusion i was having with the ELD making corrections once the WB removed from ELD.
i hope hondata give in to my pleas & enable it for me

Like XPEHODATA said - you have to modify your ECU.
first,u bump a wideband installation question,
then u mention the evil "LC-1" brand on hondata site,
then u post link to pgmfi......admins are gonna cane your arse,lol.
this is way over my head & ive already seen the JDM ecu enable of D12 circuit threads,
i can achieve the enabling of the D12 circuit with hardware ok,but i thought the issue was with hondata not reading the different port address for D12 on jdm ecu's as u posted originally???
but it seems u have it working,was it just in fact a matter of adding the hardware for D12 & thats all??? if so i'll get straight on to it.

cheers bro,but the jdm's dont have the R136,R138 so i havent removed anything,i wonder what the equivalent resistors(if there are any) would be in the jdm ecu?XPEHODATA wrote::D
I can say more.
If you removed R136 and R138 resistors at the ELD input and input not connected to anything, the voltage at the ELD input would not be constant (It must be set by these resistors). And AFR would not be constant too! AFR will change because of changing voltage at ELD input.
R136, R138 only in USDM/EDM ECU.
JDM ECU have some another resistors. Don't remove or change anything.
For D12...
Hondata S300 Firmware reading EGR input from P5.3/AI3 port on OKI66207 microcontroller.
D12 input go to this port in USDM/EDM ECU (pin 57, DIP case). But in JDM ECU this port is connected permanently to ground (pin 61, PLCC case). But D12 input go to P5.5/AI5 port (pin 63, PLCC case).
What you need:
put jumper at R13 place;
put jumper at Q3 place;
put general diode at R14 place;
remove R15;
put general diode at R15 place;
cut pin 61 from ground;
put jumper between pin 61 and pin 63.
And you have the best input for wideband now. You will not needed to set any offsets for wideband.
PS: diodes are needed only for protection OKI microcontroller from high or inversed voltage from input.

that sounds fairly straight forward,wish u turned up about 12 months ago,lol,then i could have all those hours of my life back from trying to get an LC-1 in the ELD crap......................
