PND Reverse Lockout Setup Confirmation

Post by trevorwashere »

I've done a fair amount of research on this and am still not certain on proper PND Reverse Lockout setup, hoping to get some clarification here...

Setup:
k24/k20 in 98 Civic Coupe
X2M5 03 RSX Type S Trans
Rywire budget tucked Kswap harness
Hybrid racing conversion harness
37820-PND-A53 KPRO v4 from HAMotorsport

Questions:
1. Previous Hondata forum posts indicate that moving B7 (RVS) wire to B22 (secondary intake runner) position will allow for reverse lockout functionality. No relays or changes in software - is this accurate for the above setup?
2. Other information online states that you can move B7 wire to one of 4 output pin locations: E21 (EVAP Vent), E20 (EVAP Bypass), E18 (AC Clutch Relay), B6 (Fan Control) and then program accordingly in software via "Nitrous Control" option screen and selecting the corresponding output. Is this accurate for the above setup? Hondata software dialog screen specifically states that a relay is required between ECU and solenoid - is this true?
3. If both routes will accomplish the same outcome, #1 seems preferrable but is there any reason to go with #2 instead?
4. I have a custom base map from tuner - does it need to be configured as a "PND" tune or "PRB" tune for this to work, or is that irrelevant?

Much appreciated!

#1 should work and you must use a PRB based calibration.

Wanted to follow up and confirm option #1 worked flawlessly - appreciate this forum and Hondata in general. Cheers!
