USB Type C connectivity issue

Post by finsky »

Hello,

I recently got a new DELL XPS 15 laptop which has only got USB Type C ports, so I connect via a USB hub. Unfortunately whenever I connect to the ECU it will show up values for a second or two and crash without any error message (KManager exits completely). I did not have this issue with my previous laptop, and I tried two different USB hubs.

Is this a known issue? Are there specific drivers for USB Type C ?

Thanks.

It will work with USB C ports. You could use a USB C to USB B cable so you do not need the hub.

Close all windows in KManager, close then reopen KManager, then plug in the USB.

I picked up a USB C to USB B cable today and followed your instructions, and it now seems to be working properly. Thanks a lot !
