kpro will not run fuel pump/start, will not upload or clear security

Post by littlegreenb18 »

Car: 1994 Honda cCvic VX
Engine: k24/k20
ECU: PND AUT

As stated, fuel pump is not priming, car is not starting I can't upload to the kpro, and clear security, usb update etc all fail. The car was running but I was not getting tach, speedo, or engine temp so I followed the wires from my conversion harness to the cluster and realized they were wrong, I corrected that, my tach was now working, but after that, this all started. I tried a known-good main relay off my integra, same issue. Checked all the fuses. I'm not really sure what else I can troubleshoot. Could it be the ecu itself? I don't have another car to test it on. How can I proceed?

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

You should try to find someone locally to try your ECU in their vehicle and see if it works, as you could have a wiring problem in your vehicle.

SN is 60702

Its gonna be tough to find someone locally. I just moved and have zero connections outside of work, and definitely won't find any help there. Is there any troubleshooting steps I can do?

This is a good opportunity to meet people. Try local forums and or Facebook to try to find someone local to test with. IF the ECU is damaged, it would have to be replaced and the wiring fault in your vehicle needs to be corrected to keep it from happening again.

If its bad, does it be sent it for repair, or does it need a complete replacement?

First you need to determine if it is the ECU or the vehicle.

It is definitely the ecu. After checking all the pins in my swap harness, it looks like 12v was going to e7, which likely fucked it up. After fixing the wiring, it works if I manually ground the main relay. Is there any way to repair this or is the ecu screwed? Is having the ecu manually grounded ok?

The ECU will have to be replaced. Do you have a replacement?

Running it grounded is dangerous in the event of an accident it will continue to pump fuel and catch fire.

I don't have one. Would I be able to have the hondata transferred over to a new one if I can get ahold of it? or do I need to do a whole new ecu+hondata? Basically, is there anything I can reuse to save a few bucks here? Looks like a pricy mishap :(

You would have to supply a working ECU to have the K-Pro transferred into. When you have this please email support <at> hondata.com with the following:
