"Race" Cal to AFM Calibration

Post by fa5bill »

Hello all,

I'm looking to turn my Race calibration to AFM in preparation of flex fuel on my 2007 Civic SI FA5 with stock internal K20Z3. What is the best way to go about it? It's to my understanding Race calibrations are different from AFM, so I cannot simply copy and paste. Also, I understand "Race" calibrations are no longer preferred; they are not compatible with ethanol.

Some parts have changed since the Race calibration was tuned on a dyno, and I will be changing the fuel pump and injectors from stock to Bosch 550cc EV14 and AEM E85 fuel pump. Will also be changing the fuel sending unit to a 9th gen Civic unit.
Here's a brief list:

Hybrid Racing CAI
Skunk2 Alpha header 2.5"
Full Race 3" Catback
Acura TL-S throttle body
Stock RBC Intake manifold
Innovate MTX Ethanol gauge

Would I have to re-tune from scratch, then enable Ethanol sensor input?

Here's the calibration that I'm currently using. Any help in utilizing this data in a "hybrid" calibration would be appreciated.

You could try coping the ignition tables over, but you will need to retune the fuel tables appropriately on the dyno.
