Ignition timing inability to control after rev limit increased over stock

Post by klarkin7 »

Hello! novice flash pro tuner here.

im dealing with an issue that, at RPM's above the stock rev limit timing seems to fall off dramatically. knock control remains constant, ignition limit doesnt seem to follow any editable table (as far as i can tell) and timing falls from 3* at 6600 rpm to around -2* at 7700. what am i missing here?

I suggest disabling all live tuning and retesting.

Also test changing the last row of the knock sensitivity.

unfortunately increasing knock sensitivity values in all cylinders made no difference.

OK, I'll pass this along for further testing here.

My limited experience has shown me that generally if you exceed the limit of a given x or y of a table it will revert to the last cell it was in, however is there a chance that once it is above the max of the RPM axis it no longer follows the knock sensitivity command? meaning i should change the index of the RPM axis. i know generally you would leave it alone however im sort of stuck in a rut here.
