Closed loop target lamba

Post by 08FitSport »

I have a question concerning closed loop target lamba. In the parameter I have changed the target lamba to 15.3. Also edited the target lambda limit, closed loop target lambda low and high in the same range. I am trying to get the ecu to target a afr of 15.3 to see is I can increase the fuel economy a good bit. After making all those changes the ecu is still targeting 14.7. Any ideas?

I will have our software engineer take a look at this.

You see what I am talking about. All the target parameters are set for the ecu to command 15.3 ecu stay at 14.7. Everywhere else its fine.

Not until we have a vehicle to test on.

It does not appear that you can target leaner AF ratios beyond 14.7. Only richer ratios to 13.12 can be reached.

that is for this application? i heard that some ecus on flashpro will not allow you to run leaner then 14.7. Would adding a external wideband allow you to achieve leaner AFRS in part throttle range using widebank closed loop control?

No this is not possible. You can only do this in open loop.

Not sure what you mean by only in open loop

You will only be able to run leaner in open loop as it will not try to target a specific AF ratio.

so basically wideband closed loop does not work with this ecu?

IT does work, you just can't force it to run leaner in closed loop.
