I finally got the megan racing header and was instantly disappointed. I guess I just assumed the primaries would be bigger. It is basically a stock header with slightly straighter runners, not much else. Well here's a log.

Yeah it's a tough call on the Megan header or not. It did lean things out a little bit on some areas. I touched up those areas, give this a drive when you can.

That didn't last very long. This morning I order a $ 150 4-2-1 race header with 1 3/4" primaries and a dismal 2" collector. If the flange is thin, I will get a new one from vibrant. I will figure out how shorten it and add a 3" V-band.

Sounds good, just keep me in the loop. That datalog looked good, so run that calibration while you await the new header.

Finally finished everything, but still having that p2646 code when I am over 6000 in third or higher. Was able to get a full 2nd gear pull but 3rd gear only got to around 7 something. Here's 2 tries at a log.

Overall it looks pretty good. It looks like the 4300-6000 range took a bit of a hit with the new setup. It goes fairly rich in that area, where it was dead on before. Not sure if you feel that in the car or not. I made the necessary fuel changes for you, take this one for a spin when you can.

Yeah, I saw that. Not that bad though. The sound is great. I thought 4-2-1 headers are for mid range and 4-1 are top end?!?! If I get another V- band, I might make a test pipe down the road. I'll throw up a log when I get home.

Yeah it could be just the design of the header, or other factors. We've been through so many renditions of a tune on your car now it's interesting to see how it all impacts the tune. The test pipe will make a pretty substantial difference most likely and pick up that efficiency lost.

I finally had a chance to get a datalog. I'm still fighting the VTC problem and am going to remover the valve come and VTC controller on the back of the motor and see if anything is visably wrong. I did find an interesting video somewhat similar to my situation. Mentioning O2 sensor location.

Yeah that's an interesting video, I've never seen someone put the primary o2 in the cat for testing. Haha.

Overall it looked good until the issue came back. I pulled a little more fuel out in that midrange area for the rich condition. Other than that is looked pretty solid.

I took the valve cover off and removed the spool valve. This being new should not be problem, everything was clean but the plug on the oil pressure switch had white corrosion on the prongs. I also noticed, what might be seepage on the bottom of where the spool valves mounts. Tomorrow I will put it back together.
I put a multi meter on the ohm setting and I got 1.3 something on the oil pressure sensor, but I can't find if this is right or not.

Still doing it. I'm going to try one more oil pressure switch and then test my oil pressure. If I'm all good on pressure I might just bypass it???? Well here's a log.

I think I fixed it?!?! I put a new oil pressure switch on the and I was able to push it deep into 4th without an issue. Here's a new datalog, just ignore the last one.

That's good to hear, it looks good. Go ahead and keep testing it over the next few days and let's see how it goes. I have another guy who is having a similar issue to you, I'll have to see what all he has replaced to see if he has changed the pressure switch. But keep me in the loop on if it's still running solid in a few days, if so, I'll have to make a note of that for future guys with the same issue.

Nope, not fixed!! It is hard to get it to happen, but it still happens. I'm looking into bypassing the oil pressure switch. I would like to put a pressure gauge on it first but not sure yet. I'm thinking about the E85 kit now. I have a station around the corner and I have seen how to fix the fuel gauge. I will stay with the RDX injectors but I plan on upgrading the pump since I will have to pull the pump housing anyway. Here's another log, thanks.
