CPR Issue

Post by Tjung »

I do not whether this is an issue with the Hondata CPR or something else, but after I have finished install the CPR, the low RPM (between 1000 - 2000), the car runs jerky, not smooth. My car is Honda Accord 94 with swapped engine to H22A, and the ecu is P28 with Hondata S300 V2.

Are you using resistor or non-resistor type spark plugs?

I am using resistor spark plugs (NGK Iriway8). I installed CPR at the same time I installed turbo. If I step and hold the acceleration pedal and maintain the rpm in between 1000 - 2000, the car runs jerky (shaking), but if I step more above 2000, it runs fine.

What happens if you put the distributor back to stock?

The issue disappear. First I thought the TPS is broken, but it is not.

Is this an OEM or aftermarket distributor?

Try with a different ECU if you can. We have seen some ECUs have issues. You must remember that these ECU's are at least 25 years old.
