Temperature problem and engine goes very rich!

Post by R-12914 »

If i run the engine in Idle and warm up, the ECT temp goes up to 98 °C, until the fan switch on.
In addition, the engine already runs very rich at in idle.

I mean it was not the case in earlier versions (software/firmware)

At this time, the fan switch on:

I sent you the calibration by email to support@hondata.com

All connections, hoses etc. were checked for leakage and are ok.
I have these problems only since the last software / firmware versions.

Thanks for help!

What is wrong with an engine temperature of 98C at idle?

There's no indication that the fueling has changed in recent version but we will look at your calibration.

Before the Software and Firmware update, my s.trim was at ~-5!

Also in normal driving, the s.trim is now very rich at ~ -16!

Or is this a indication for a bad O2-senor?

The best thing to do is to compare the injector duration in datalogs from before and after.

I have tested your calibration with 2.7.6, 2.7.7 & 2.7.8 and they all run the same, with fuel trims < 10%. I had to change the MAP sensor setting, injector size, AFM conversion and injector table.

What could be the reason, why now the Map run so rich on my vehicle?

I'm not sure. I'm waiting to see if there are any other reports of problems with the FG or FN2 before going any further.

The curious thing about this problem is, that WOT (is still the same), but only the afm-fuel was too rich.
I had to go 10-12% leaner in afm-fuel, to reach the previous values.

Could the problem be related to the changes for my Flashpro, because of the following datalog-problem, which I had:
https://www.hondata.com/forum/viewtopic ... 28&t=20439

I mean, that it is only since these changes.

Or could it have something to do with my ASNU-injectors and/or a software change regarding to Hondata?

We've made no changes to the FN2 for a while. The problem in the link you posted was related to the FlashPro, which is independent to what gets uploaded into the ECU. I'm not discounting a software problem, but at the moment it is isolated to yourself. typer86 - did anything change?

I have checked the prev. calibrations which no changes are made in AFMfuel or injector opening time/VTC Profil.

So Im really have not idea what is happen very strange thing.
I have reduce approx. 11% AFMfuel timing to keep S.TRIM OK again. Currently we do a short retune which is finally finished today or tomorrow...

Now, if I compare the same Hybrid-Map from the version 2.8.1.0 and 2.8.2.0, the engine now runs too lean!
