Few questions from an '10 Si owner

Post by SFTifoso »

Hello. I have a stock 2010 Civic Si, and run 91 octane. I have a few questions.

Is the ReFlash just the stock Flashpro "tuned stock" map?

Does ReFlash get rid of revhang?

I don't have time to "tune" with Flashpro. Is the ReFlash as simple as buying an intake, getting the ECU ReFlashed, and you're done?

What about knock control? Is Honda's knock control implemented in ReFlash?

Is fuel economy the same, better, or worse than stock?

Is the fueling done through the MAF or MAP sensor?

Thank you!

More or less, yes.

> Does ReFlash get rid of revhang?
Yes.

Yes, but be careful with intakes as they can really, really mess up the air fuel. About half don't even make as much power as stock.

> What about knock control? Is Honda's knock control implemented in ReFlash?
Knock control is unchanged.

> Is fuel economy the same, better, or worse than stock?
No worse than stock. Perhaps very slightly better from ignition advance. However, if you put an intake on than messes up the AFM you economy could be much worse.

> Is the fueling done through the AFM or MAP sensor?
AFM.

Thank you for answering my questions. I just have a couple more.

Can you recommend an intake? I was thinking about the Skunk2 CAI, since the section of tubing where the MAF goes is supposed to be identical to stock.

Knock control is unchanged.
My car knocks a lot when I upload either the "stock equivalent" or "stock tuned" map from Flashpro. Since the Reflash is very similar, is it safe to say my car will knock the same amount with Reflash as it does with Flashpro, or are the knock control and ignition tables somehow different in Reflash?

Thanks again!

So you already have a FlashPro and want to go to a reflash?

As for intakes, all of them alter the air/fuel. All require some degree of tuning to correct this. Thus I would only use an intake with the FlashPro.
