Is 93 Octane alright, because that's what I'm running in my car right now in my 03 SI.

Octane

You need to use 91 octane or above, since the tuning was done in California using 91 octane.

I have a 2002 JDM DC5 Type R. And In Singapore, we have 98 Octane fuel. I have Cold Air Intake, Hondata heatshield gasket, spoon 70mm throttle body installed. If I wish to upgrade my ECU, which would be the right choice ? Can the ECU to be programmed to take advantage of 98 octane fuel ?

Octane ratings in the US are different. 91 octane in the US should be similar to 98 octane in singapore.

I am not sure about this... I thought the lower horse power of RSX type-s vs. JDM ITM is due to the different cam profile and ECU setting for the fuel ? You get Octane 100 in Japan... Care to illustrate further ?

91 octane RON+MON/2 is about 96 RON.

The K20A has more compression, more cam duration and a better exhaust than the K20A2, which is why it makes more power.

Hi all,

What does " 91 octane RON+MON/2 is about 96 RON " means ? I am wondering if it's possible to customise the program for Octane 98 ?
regards,
HY

In Greece we have 100 octane fuel and I still get some knocking on my Civic Type-R, but with some fine tuning on the KPRO this can be eliminated presto!

In this case, if I am using k-pro, which would be the best map to start from ?
How about k20a2-rsx-310cc-itrcams-jrhdr-cai.kal ?

Any suggestions on the base map and things to watch out when tuning the map for JDM k20A will be highly appreciated :)

Almost forget that this is not really the right forum for k-pro ... Sorry for this...
