new n/a h22a build

Post by integra_22t »

ive got a h22a with full n/a build and trying to run off the s300 software

the build is :
h22a block
ported and polished head
skunk 2 retainers
skunk 2 springs
stock valves
skunk2 pro+1 cam
skunk2 cam gears set at 0
venom 440cc injectors
afpr at 30psi
skunk2 pro intake
69mm throtal body
eagle h-beam rods
wesco pistons 11.5/1
hytch header
full 3" exhust

ive tryed 3 diffrent tunes ( one thet comes with the s300),h2b type s , and the mikes tune

alltunes make the car so rich i should put a can at the tail pipe to chatch the extra gas lol

if i put the stock h22 ecu the car runs better but i want to use the s300 and get the car right

if i back off the fuel pressure the car runs better so i know its a fuel problem .. and yes i know 30 psi isnt enough

any tunes that might be good for this or how can i back off the injectors to get the car to lean out

thanks

well here is the first set up that let the car idle
Image

after that i upped the fuel pressure to 42 with the vacume line off and backed the injector dead time and think the car was a little on the lean side as the header is starting to turn purple after the nice gold colour

Image

i sent off an email to venom asking for the dead time but havent heard back ... the ones i used are for the stock h22 injectors from 92-96

It sounds like the injecotrs may be leaking if you have removed 80% from the fuel trim and it is stilll rich and the only thing that makes it better is reducing the fuel pressure.

ill have a look at that

i got tired of trying to get the s300 to work so i put the stock ecu ( unknown chiped) back in and the car runs alot better i could get the car to rev and hold a decent idle for what it was worth

im still going throu all the s300 info so hopefuly i can find something

found a h22a7 tune and its alot better .. at lest the car is idling at 1500 and i can give it some throtal but it want to stall under 1500 so im going to start playing with that tune to get it close

ill let you know tomorow how it goes

well im close to haveing the car leave

found out that i wired the map sensor backwards and after trying the ecu in my own car figured out some things

now the car is at idel around 1000 ... cant get any lower as it wants to stall .. thinking its becouse of the cams

still sitting a little rich but not to bad .. backing some of the fuel trim as well as the duty cycle and dizzy timming ... getting close

wow what a learning curve

ok so i took the car out today and it still wants to die at idle and as you get into the trotal the car wants to break down but as soon as you get around 5000rpm the car evens out and runs great .... so i have to figure out whats diffrent between 0-5000 and 5000+ and i think it will be tuned enough it can go to the dyno for a better tune.. i just dont want him to blow the motor up

for the first while in the datalog i was playing with fuel at idle and found out that if the car ran alittle rich it didnt lope at idle
