Launch Control Removal

Post by Trent009 »

Hi from Australia,

I have a Hondata s200 with the launch control option activated at 4000rpm

The problem is that I need to pass a noise test on my car. This is done by revving it to 5400 rpm in neutral. However the launch control feature limits these rpms.

How do I go about removing the launch control?

Thanks

Was the s200 tuned with Romeditor 3 or 4?

Is it for smog (emmissions test)? Can't he just unplug it for the duration of the noise test?

I'm not too sure what the tuner used, I just paid the guy, now can't get in contact with him anymore.

The test is a noise test but should it be suspect, it will go in for emissions testing.

Is there a difference between RomEditor 3 or 4?

Thanks for the replies

Yes it is different. The clutch switch is connected differently an dthere are settings in the software that are different.

That's strange. I don't have a clutch switch connected to the ecu or hondata box.

I can rev to 9k in all gears except neutral.
