Launch Control

Post by ImAuthenticFTW »

just curious on how it is going to act with the FlashPro, will it be like the 5500 stock limiter just adjustable? maybe the 8200 rev llimiter? more of a stutter step? and would it be possible for you guys to implement a cut off speed like the KPro does? and even an ignition cut launch control/anti lag for turbo'd people?

Yes, it is similar to KPro, with an adjustable launch limiter. I believe the cutoff speed is 5 kph / 3 mph - that should work without adjustment.

i know its adjustable, i was curious on how it is going to behave though, will it act like the 5500rpm limiter with a "slow" stutter, or the rev limiter which is a quicker stutter so to speak

Hate to bump this, but i just wanted to share some finding on this. I tried to find out at which speed the LC limiter stops and becomes the real rev limiter. Well on my car as soon as i move it revs to 8600. My speedo didnt even say 1mph and it reved out to 8600. I think you guys should allow the cut off speed to be end user adjustable please

not on my car, like i said before i went and tested this, my car moved slightly, to the point where it was rolling but the speedo still said 0, and the revs went all the way to 8600rpms..... ill try to make a datalog of this for you today

Ok so i did a datalog for you guys, what i did was find a hill that would allow my car to roll slightly, but not gain speed to fast. I set my foot on the brake and his the Launch Limiter, i then lifted my foot off the brake. As you can see on the datalog when i hit 2mph, or 3.2Km/H the rev were already at ~7000RPMS.

What calibration are you using?

K&N V2 SRI, raceheader.... MAP based calibration.

also please note that my throttle wasnt even 100% and it climbed that high in the rev range, had it been at 100% throttle i would have been bouncing off the limiter before 2mph...

okay, but is it possible to enable end user controlled cut offs?? 1km/h is no where near enough IMHO to gain traction

the lack of adjustability in flashpro has been disappointing so far. I really hope more tables get opened up soon, this being one of them.
