Knock sensor with flashing MIL

Post by strider »

I read that there is a way to make the MIL flash whenever the knock sensor senses activity. How do I enable this? I have a P72 with S300. I didn?t find anything on the forum or in the contents menu for the Smanger.

You cannot do this on the s300, this is only available on the K-Pro.

Found this in the contents of the S300 Smanager under the knock sensor parameters.

"Flashing the MIL (check engine light) when the ECU detects knock will help alert you if the engine is knocking."

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Just wish the documentation didn't indicate that it does work. Thanks for the feedback.

That PLX looks like a nice device. I wish Hondata had it's own digital display that would plug into the usb port on the S300. Would be really nice for monitoring. I would sacrifice a DIN opening to mount a display like that. Just think, have a customizable display. That would be really nice. ;)

Thanks

Leftover from the KManager help file...same help file was used, and changes made for the s300...obviously some things were missed. Sorry

Oh well, "mistakes were made...lives were lost..."

I must say, I am really happy with the Hondata overall. In under 3 hours, the tuner had my all motor B18C putting down 196 hp and 144 ft/lbs of torque on a Mustang dyno. So I think I'm doing good.
