Horrible missfire

Post by Briefx »

I have a stock b18a1 in my crx with a obd1 s300 ecu. I was having a problem with my ecu where the green light next to the chip wouldn’t light up and wouldn’t run but I reloaded my tune and it seemed to fix that problem. I’m not having a problem where it revs fine below 4.3k rpm but when it gets past that it like cuts up or misfires and my tach needle jumps all over the place.

Are you using resistor or non-resistor type spark plugs?

I’m not sure. It ran fine before I let the car sit for Probaly 2 months. I noticed today as it starts breaking up and misfiring that the cel will come on and in smanager it’ll say 13 new cel for about a second then it goes away

You need to check the spark plugs.

Post the calibration and a datalog showing the issue.
