Removing flashpro from ecu

Post by 2fast4u831 »

Long story short. I tried smogging my car to transfer to my name and was told that the ecu has a flash on it and I need to remove it. I bought this car at an auction and have 0 history of the previous owner. Is it possible to remove with a hondata flashpro or is this something more complicated? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

If it was tuned with FlashPro you should be able to purchase a FlashPro and use it to either return to stock or make changes. If it was tuned using some other software then it will not work with a FlashPro until the ECU has been returned to stock first.

I'm almost 100% sure it was hondata since there was a hondata license plate frame inside the vehicle when I got it. Thanks for the info.
