K20A type R/2005 rsx
K20A type R/2005 rsx
So my car is a 2005 rsx I just swapped a k20A type r into my car, I have hondata Kpro 4 with the PRB ecu and adapter harness for the 05-06, also using the 2005 rsx engine harness.
Whenever I start up the car the RPM's are reading on the MPH side of the cluster and the RPM side is reading the MPH so it is reversed, I was wondering what can I do to fix that?
Also the temp gauge is not working.

Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?
What is the serial number that is on the white ECU plug inside the ECU as well?

Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
Check to see if the wires in the stock harness for the VSS out from the ECU and the Tach signal have been swapped.
Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
That's exactly what it was I swapped the vss and rpm wires on the back of the cluster, now it works like a dream thank you so much for the help you are awsome. 🤘👍😎

I literally just did this exact swap. Willing to bet you swapped the VSS and Tach wiring as it isn't THAT hard to do lol

Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
Now trying to figure out my idle, I have a brand new iacv and everything is working fine just the idle is sitting around 964 rpm when engine is warm, how do i get it to idle around 750 to 800 i tried the idle relearn process but still no luck any ideas?
Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
I tried to mess around with the duty valve cycle too but sounds like it runs rough if you move it all the way to the left, right now I have it about 3 click Mark's from the middle to the left.
Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
No vaccume leaks either
Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
The idle speed jumped up alittle

Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
With the idle controller unplugged, what does it idle at?
Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
I will double check when I get home but I believe around 1,500 rpm
Re: K20A type R/2005 rsx
If that is the case, then the throttle body need to be adjusted so that it idles lower.
