Couple of Concerns on Closed Loop Lambda Target

Post by spAdam »

Tuning my closed loop operation/lean cruise and I noticed a couple of things.

The load based table always seems to be pegged in the uppermost cell. Note that my units do not match my table units, which is fine but the help file shows mbar (so I think this should change with units?). It seems to be targeting correctly, so I'm not terribly worried about it, but I'm mostly wondering if it's a bug or if I've missed something in the settings somewhere. Can you advise? See attached pics.

What is the serial number that is on the s300 board inside the ECU?

From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?

Post your calibration as well as a datalog showing the issue.

Okay, things got a little stranger when I tried to gather the requested info.

I've had this happen a couple of times, I attributed it to me fat fingering something. I started the car, F10 to go live, confirm SManager is logging, then F9 to record. Drove back to work and found the 6 minute log to be flatlined at the initial values. Also have noticed recently (even before software update) that my logs no longer auto save/name - I really like that feature btw.

Attached are my most recent cal, most recent log, and a successful log from a couple of weeks ago. Let me know if there's anything I else I can help with.

Did you make the datalog from SManager or from the s300?

From SManager. Does it need to be an onboard log?

Okay, here is a good log. A courtesy restart of my laptop seems to have fixed the recording issue, auto-save still does not work. See attached log.

I think it is a problem with the beta software. Download and install it again, then datalog.

Posting a couple more logs here for you. First is from yesterday evening using 2.7.3. Second is from this morning using 2.7.4 build 1218 as linked by you yesterday. Same issue with the load based lambda target map on my end.

Does it work correctly on your machine? I loaded the cal and previous log I sent you into SManager on my work laptop (which is W7) yesterday and it displayed correctly (I forgot to pay attention to which version or if the units were correct, but the cells were tracking correctly). Installed 2.7.4 1218 on that machine and it still worked correctly. could it be a W10 issue? I can't think of any settings that might be different between the two computers, when I'm in on Monday I can have a look and confirm they are the same.

Note that when I originally installed 2.7.4 on this computer, it was build 1201.

The datalog displays correctly as far as I can tell but I cannot see the images you posted in the first post so cannot answer your original question.

Ahh gotcha. That's my fault, I used the img function and you might not be able to access the urls. I'll reattach them below.

Works ok in the latest release. Regardless, it is a table tracing color in a different application as to what the ECU is using so looking at the lambda and trims shows the ECU is targeting 16.17 as it should.
