Cpr misfire and quit running

Post by DanHa1031 »

CPR ran fine for a mile or two then randomly misfired and died. Won't start back up or anything, swapped my buddies unit in, car fired right up and drove it home, put my unit back in and I've got nothing?? Can a cpr unit just quit working like that?

Open it and see if anything is burned inside.

The U4 latch has a slight brown spot on it.

Check your wiring, especially the COPs. The CPR has got +12V through the coil wiring, reverse polarity or a ground is bad.

Wiring is correct, if cop wiring was bad it was out of the box that way, thermostat housing ground is correct, ecu wiring is correct, car has been running fine since January. This was sparatic misfire and then it just quit running.

The only way this can happen is a wiring fault.

Not true, mine failed because the chips were shaved too thin when the mfg tried to de-brand them. Had nothing to do with wiring or placement. It was poor mfg quality
