P0001 Code after Hondata Fuel System

Post by Tony the Tiger »

Hey everyone,

Need some assistance in dealing with an odd situation with an FK8 CTR.

Car has a Full-Race EFR kit, tuned 420 WHP last year and ran great with no issues.

Recently he did a Hondata Fuel system upgrade, had another shop install the fuel components and towed it here for tuning.

Tuning went relatively smooth, no issues with DIFP and DIFPCOM and fueling was fine up to 480 WHP.

Customer drove several trips and he does live far away (1.5 hrs away).. He did a quick rip to 5000RPM one day and the car had trouble idling afterwards.

Later car won't hold idle and then threw a P0001 code.

Any ideas or assistance will be much appreciated :)

If you clear the code, does it run normally?

Nope, after clearing the code, the car still barely runs...

Logged fuel duty and its bouncing erratically between 22% to 65%...

DIFP and DIFPCMD is very erratic, but idle is also not stable... Jumping 1000-2000 PSI erratically.

I checked some older logs during idle, it used to be at 21-22% and about 1000 PSI, very stable.

I'm pulling out the low pressure fuel pump at the moment to see if I find anything strange.

Please post a datalog. From the pressure sensor you can tell if the low pressure pump is working.

Check the wiring adapter.
