P2183 with flex fuel sensor code still setting.

Post by jpierro79 »

Hello I am working in a 2019 fk8 has sirimoto flex fuel sensor. The p2183 codes are dissabled. This code was still set. Is this a glitch? How can this happen and I double checked that all the p2183 boxes were turned off in both misc and in dtc. The car also is only on e25 and 91 octane.

The code did not set immediately. All correct boxes were unchecked that needed to be including changing fan to primary coolant temp sensor.

3.6.7.0
Your most recent beta.
The car is customers car.
All of p2183 are turned off and ethanol input is selected the car set the code on start up. It has nothing to do with any afr aircharge or timing settings
ethanol ignition compensation was untouched from base map and Same for ethanol content and ethanol compensation percentage.
The car was just started and idling rough and set the code after sitting at night.
any changes to ignition timing afr or aircharge have no role as at idle it’s all based off basemap e25. Fuel overall trim is at at 0 as it should be.
Car ran perfect for an entire week. Started ran poorly then set p2183 almost right away.
Code erased and hasn’t come back yet. Car went 120 miles in weeks before it was set also.
I’m asking cause if you have the ability to turn the code or stop the test from being run how could it still be set?
I’m an experience tech not a beginner.
What could possibly make the ecu try to check ect2 signal range on start up when the ability is supposed to be disabled ? I’m well aware of how emissions controls function I repair them regularly.
I’m also certain it was p2183 not p2182 as customer sent me a screen shot.
I did see p2182 is still selected in the e25 map for whatever reason.
P2182 is a correlation code to ect2 not matching primary ect on initial cold start. Although this isn’t the code that was set I do see how this could possibly cause an error still being left on considering it still part of ect2 function.

That's not the most recent software - update it then send the calibration and a datalog to support@hondata.com.

Also I would like to know what the calibration ID is.

Post the calibration you are using and a datalog showing the issue.

From Help, About, what is the version of software you are using?
