FK2 Oil Temp going off - No boost

Post by Bain »

Hi,

Please if anyone can assist, i sometimes get that my oil temp will go off and the car goes NA.
After you park it off the car bill boost again but oil temp not showing.

And after a day or two the temp will show again. I did a 3rd Gear WOT into 4th in R+ mode.
As I was going to do a 4th gear pull there was no boost, this is in the 2nd half of the log.
I have attached the log, i have DP, cooler and Hondata

Thanks in advance.

I’m sure that the oil temperature going off is down to a broken wire on the sensor. If you search on the FK2 Facebook pages it is fairly common

the temp does come back after some time. dont think it would if the wire is off.
I saw the facebook post and thought the same.

If i load another map it does not happen, happens with this map though.

Post the calibrations you are using, the one that works and the one that doesn't work, and label them as such.

hi everyone,

the car is cutting boost again for some reason, not sure if it was a boost spike or something.
I have attached my Log if ANYONE can maybe assist.

Is there a set list of DTC's to disable?

Hi,

Sorry I only saw your post now, I have attached a calibration that does this.
I also not sure on what DTC's must be disabled.

If you can have a look and let me know.

No error codes, but it looks like the wastegate controller. It is common for the wires to break.

Hi, Thanks for the info.
Do you perhaps have a bit more info on wire location perhaps, what to look for, A picture?

So I finally found the problem , the heat that the O2 sensor reads was the problem.
I extended the value and have no problem at all.

FINALLY - Got to the problem.
Turn off the oil level sensor and everything works, the temp works and no boost cut.

Replaced sensor and all good again. the car uses same sensor for both, oil level and oil temp.

Im just glad its all working like it should again, what a long battle to get to the result.
