Duplicated ECU & Service

Post by sloth4urluv »

I had asked this question before in a different thread and never really gotten an answer.
I figured it would probably beneficial to move it to its own thread since other owners likely will have the same question.

When taking the car in for service if you have a duplicated ECU is it better to put the original ECU back in or simply flash the duplicated ECU back to stock?

This is completely up to you as we cannot advocate trying to trick a dealer into thinking you have not modified the vehicle for warranty purposes.

Could somebody clarify that if I get remote Service for ECU re-flash, I will end up having two ECUs? One original untouched and one unlocked? Both on their own will start the car and I will be able to drive around? Thank you in advance.

Yes you will have to ECUs that run the car and only the jailbroken one will be able to use the FlashPro.
