P0136

Post by chris2000 »

FK8R with full exhaust.

Flashpro tuned. When driven on the road it does not have any check light. But when it hits the track, after a few laps it will trigger the check light on the same corner which is lift off throttle, trail braking into a long the corner then the check light pops up P0136 : O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction Bank 1 Sensor 2.

What is causing this?? Is it because of the downpipe design or the defouler design causing the light?

Any possibility of Hondata to have an option to delete this CEL permanently?

Hi Hondata,

I'm still having this problem.
I've a catfree Downpipe, PRL intercooler, and an Hondata Flashpro updated just on 7th March 2019 (with latest version).
I've also checked the box for this P0136 omission.

I notice when driven hard, I get it. If not, I don't get it.
I'm on a 12 day 5500km, road trip. So have been able to see the triggers (60% through).

I clear it with an OBD Bluetooth, stay fine till my next fuel stop. Top up gas, and it (P0136) comes back on within the 50km or so.

Would you know why this is so?
Appreiciate the help - otherwise, awesome work guys!

What ECU & calibration are you using? G03 or E03?

Sorry for the late reply. Was trying to get the info you asked me.

My ECU is a XXXXX-5BF-M03
Calibration is based off " Revision 3.00 Civic Type R FK8 US 2017, 91 octane, downpipe, intercooler, improved throttle response".

Do you have both the secondary o2 and the P0136 disabled?

Under Modifications :
I have already "Disabled the secondary o2 sensor for downpipe" ,
and "Remove P0101 & P0103 error".

But how do you disable P0136?

Same problem here during track day. I'm having a constant P0136 error code every run I did. But nothing in my normal driving. I also noticed the next day, I only have 50kms left in my gas tank then when I hit the rev limiter from 2nd gear to 3rd gear the pop pop from exhaust is just 2x compare to 4x during track day.

So I have a 2019 ctr with full bolt ons and got the flash pro to get rid of that p0136 and p0140 codes so I paid for jail break and flashed it once I bought flash pro that is. But now the light came back up and now Bluetooth on phone won’t clear code and why does it pop up if I have boxes checked ? Or do the boxes need to be unchecked ?
