Sporadic crashes of the ecu

Post by Tierlord »

Since the firmware update (199) I've encountered sporadic what seems to be crashes of the ecu. While cruising, there is a short power cut, maybe for half a second, while a Pgm-fi error is shown. After that, my driving mode is reset to Sport, like if the car just started.
I dont know how to reproduce the error, but it happened two times directly after (But not exclusively then) using cruise control and disabling it.

Has anyone also experienced something like that?

Can you tell us what ECU you are using and what calibration?

Thank you very very much. I reflashed with this version and haven't experienced the error since. I hope it's now gone forever :)

I had this same issue and had wasted lots of time pulling the car apart to check power and grounds as well as testing relays.

The latest update released on the 11th of August sorted the problem.

Maybe an announcement on social media (Facebok, Instgram and twitter) is in order before people spend large amounts of money on chasing a problem which was caused by an update to the Flashpro manager software.

Thanks Dave

I was lucky that the errors appeared directly after a flash with the new firmware, without changing anything to the car. So I was nearly 100% sure, that it was software related.

I think that's what the forums are for. We have to tell Hondata about the issues that we notice. I'm glad that the issue was fixed almost immediately.
