Part Throttle Hesitation?

Post by mrburgerUS »

Hello all,

I have a 2020 6MT Hatchback with base +3 psi and Rev Hang Delete. Upon about 30-70% throttle effort, the turbo spoils but the vehicles jerks under acceleration, almost as if the knock control or boost delay is kicking in. It happens slightly worse at lower temperatures. Does anybody have a possible cause or resolution?

Thanks!

What modifications have been done to the vehicle?

None besides a 27Won Brake Upgrade, Acuity Rocker Arm, and Hondahack. The vehicle has no engine / performance mods.

Post your calibration as well as a datalog showing the issue.

Finally got around to the issue, looks like good old timing retard could be the issue...

Your wheels speed sensors do not appear to be reading correctly...If you disable traction control does this issue go away?

Disabling VSA does fix the issue as far as I can tell!

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.

Done, I labeled it as a software bug since the ABS sensors always read the same values no matter the speed but if this were the case I think it wouldn’t even drive at highway speeds without triggering VSA or ABS?

Our software engineers are looking into this, but due to the current shutdown, It may be several weeks before we have any updates for you. In the mean time just leave traction control turned off.

Spunkster,

yes, I did exactly that. I reflagged without Hondata Traction control, and the boost builds like amazingly fast and keeps up. I understand there will most certainly be a delay, but I’m in no rush since Wake the Dragon is closed!

Hello,
Was this ever fixed. I had this exact issue happening to me ? I had to unclick the traction control under mods since I get all that jerking.

OK Thanks.
I have a very good sample of how the rev goes up and down as traction control was activated. Let me know if the datalog can help you guys. I have it recorded.
