U0301 2016 Civic Touring
U0301 2016 Civic Touring
I have a US 2016 Civic Touring. When attempting to flash the CARB 2016 Touring +3psi or +6psi or the CARB 2016-2017 Touring +3psi using Flashpro 3.5.1.0 I get a U0301 code. If I flash back to stock the check engine light goes away. Before attempting the flash I did recently have the "VSA Software Update/EPB" recall fixed.
I know the Canadian version you need to flash the 2017 version due to a recall but that is not an option with the US cars.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you
*edited because I forgot to say I was trying to do CARB safe

If you have the oil dilution update from Honda then you must use a 2017 calibration or you will get a transmission error code. If you use the return to stock then you must use the 17 return to stock as well.

Thank you for your help!
Since there is no US 2017 Touring CVT can I use one the US 2017 Hatch Sport Touring CVT? I assume I can't flash the Canadian 2017 on a US car.

There is one labeled 2016-2017 touring CVT.
Re: U0301 2016 Civic Touring
Correct, there is one that is labeled 2016-2017 touring CVT. However, this is one of the ones that causes a U0301. Any other suggestions?
Re: U0301 2016 Civic Touring
Then you do not have the update and should use the 2016 calibration.
Re: U0301 2016 Civic Touring
Okay, but both the CARB 2016 Touring +3psi or +6psi both give the same check engine light. I have tried to flash all 3 multiple times.
Re: U0301 2016 Civic Touring
Do you have a CARB FlashPro? If you have had the oil dilution update then you should use the 2017 calibrations unless the dealer made a mistake and did not reflash the transmission.

Re: U0301 2016 Civic Touring
I do have the CARB FlashPro. I do not have the oil dilution update (unless it was performed without my knowledge). I have tried both calibrations multiple times.
However, I just thought of the fact that I had this service bulletin applied. "2016-18 Civic 1.5L: Software Update with A/C Control UnitReplacement; DTC P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, or P0172" This was released March 5 2019.
I am thinking that maybe there is a software update after the oil dilution that Hondata does not have yet?

Do you get the error if you just upload the 2016 calibration?

Re: U0301 2016 Civic Touring
I'm getting this same code. I managed to reflash to stock, but I wish to use the +6 and it keeps throwing the u0301. Any thoughts?

Does your vehicle have the oil dilution update form Honda?
