Hi, Hoping someone can help me out.
2018 Civic, and just installed a Zeitronix ECA-2 Ethanol content with their Flex-Fuel Sensor.
Got it all hooked up and flashed the 9psi Flex Fuel map.
Ethanol is reading 21%, and I am running on straight 93 Octane (Live in IL if that makes any difference).
If i disconnect the output wire on the Zeitronix that goes to the ECT2 plug, the reading on Hondata goes from 21% to 100%.
I was thinking maybe i put the output wire on the ECT2 plug on the wrong pin, but if its reading that cant be the case right?
I attached my tune and datalog.
Hopefully this is an easy fix/dumb mistake.
Thank you,
Kyle

Re: Install Flex Fuel - Sensor Reading High?
"Ethanol percentage defines the range of the signal from the ethanol control unit. Most units use a 0 to 5 volt range where 0 volts is 0 percent ethanol and 5 volts is 100 percent ethanol
The ECU ECT2 input has a pull up resistor to 5V internally, and some ethanol content devices cannot pull the output voltage down to give an accurate reading at low ethanol content percentages. We recommend these settings:
Zeitronix ECA : 0.34 volts = 0%, 4.97 volts = 100% (will not read below 15% ethanol).
Innovate ECF-1, MTX-D, ECB-1 : 0.00 volts = 0%, 5.00 volts = 100% (will not read below 1.5% ethanol).
In the USA pump gas has 0 to 10% ethanol (typically 10%) and E85 fuel is 55-80%, depending on location and time of year."

Thank you for the info.
I will change the voltage settings and see how that works.
So based on your reply, i really should have got the Innovative one correct?
Seems like a more accurate sensor, since it can read 1.5% - 100%?

I ran ECA with no problem. its pretty accurate with the voltage adjustment. you just treat e15 on the table as straight pump gas.integraguy041 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 4:11 pm Jun43
