HI all,
I live in Pakistan / Karachi, I also own a garage which have Dyno Facility available, we have this major issue of octane(gas) here,
The regular octane (gas) available here is 85 octane, which goes max to 93 Octane, but there is no check and balance here, even from the world famous Gas supplier like Shell and Total, Shell is offering V-Power but when we tested this V-power fuel we get 88 octane consistently,
on the other hand we have Total who claims 97 octane, but some time when we tested the fuel the results were 88 and 86 octane, max outof Total we tested is 93 or 94, but there is a drop in Quality of fuel once or twice a month,
This new Honda turbo Civic was introduced here last year and a good friend purchased it. sounds good,
Issue, we only used Shell V-power and the knocks to hell from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm, loud audible knock sound, we started using Using ToTal fuel because of the octane rating but still the quality of the fuel is unknown as we cant test it every time.

Is there a way I can retune/reflash my car using Hondata Flashpro for this lower level of fuel/octane let say 85 or 88 octane?
any advice to eliminate this issue is welcomed!

If I become your dealer,
Is there a way I can reflash/retune stock ecu without permanently(locking) installing flashpro with every Civic thats comes in for knock issue?
Knocking because of Lower Octane
Re: Knocking because of Lower Octane
1. Change the knock ignition limit (lower it).

Ok, Can I just buy this dealer Flashpro and start flashing ? is it that simple.
Re: Knocking because of Lower Octane
I think he wants to become a retail dealer on reflashing to customer cars. not a reflash from a Dealer.Hondata wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2017 7:54 am 1. Change the knock ignition limit (lower it).
