2019+ RDX tuning

Post by ayau »

I’m considering picking up a 2019+ RDX and adding Hondata to it. It looks like there aren’t a lot of people talking about the tuning of this platform, so I have a few questions.

Is the engine and transmission basically the same as the 2.0T accord with the 10 speed?

If it is, is it safe to assume the tuning potentials are similar?

There isn’t an ethanol base map, but is there support to increase fuel trims and timing to make a custom ethanol map?

Is the fuel pump the limiting factor, similar to the fk8?

Any concerns with the drivetrain not being able to handle the extra power on ethanol? Assuming stock turbo.

Yes it is similar to the Accord.

The RDX does not have ethanol input capability at this time. I do not know if this is something that will be added in the future.

You can tune with ethanol, but ill need to make sure that you are at the same ethanol content at all times.

I do not believe that the RDX has the same fuel pump limiting issues as the FK8.

It should be able to handle power levels similar to the Accord.

Another question. Do you know if the RDX/Accord are running full time air/fuel closed loop?
