2013 Fg4 short ram and Q300 cat back, need help with a basemap please!
Re: 2013 Fg4 short ram and Q300 cat back, need help with a basemap please!
Yeah overall it looked great. I made some part throttle fuel adjustments and some WOT adjustments, only minor ones we were really close. Had some knock in the same areas, so I touched that up as well. Other than though it looked great.
The new vtec rpm looked much better. I went ahead and lowered it to 4850 to see if you like it there. Although in this next one, I am going to lock you on the 30* cam angle for the entire vtec engagement and operation to dial the fuel in there, then we'll do a 15*, then a 0* degree. That way I can try to get you the best cam angle map for right now. The way it looks, it might want more angle than I have data for, so if we get that data we can try to get the you most power via cam angle mapping. So in this next one, it might fall off up top because it has too much cam angle out to redline, but it's all part of the process.
In this next datalog, or the next three, all we really need is a clean WOT pull in third gear like you have been doing. But if you want to drive it for the 20 minutes you can, though we really just need the third gear WOT pull so I can get the data needed to design a proper cam angle map for you.

Looked really good. Couple knock, and the fuel fell off up top like I thought. This next one will be on the 15* cam, same thing, just need the third gear WOT pull, but you can drive it however you want. We're getting the data we need, so it should rip once we blend everything out. But take this one for a quick spin on the 15 cam so we can get the data.

Unfortunately it looks like you had Rev03 in the car still for this datalog. It was running on the 30 cam, where Rev04 has you on the 15 cam. Not sure if you have time tonight, but we need to reload Rev04 back in and make a quick third gear pull.

Damn, hate to break it to you, it still doesn't have Rev04 uploaded. :( It looks like you're still running on Rev03 and not Rev04.
Give it a shot tomorrow (or later today) and post it up. Then we'll get it figured out. But this newest datalog has the same calibration as the one before it.

Nevermind I'm gonna get some sleep. Just realized I've been pressing download before hitting upload so just been putting the same map back on smfh.
Back at it tomorrow lol.

Nailed it this time, haha. It looked good and we got the data we needed.
So yeah, it looks like it was worth it to do those. I made quite a few changes to the cam angle map based on them so it should pull pretty good now. We can always go back to the old cam angle map you like if needed, so feel free to give feedback on it. But give this one a run and we will take a look at it.
Go back to the 20-30 minute datalogs including the third gear WOT pull like you have been. See what you think. I left vtec at 4850 as you liked too, so see how it all works together now with the new cam angle map.

Morning!
Felt very smooth and seemed to pull good all over. I need to get a little more time in for my full feed back since it was raining and traffic already started.
Here ya go!
Have a good one, excited to hear back.

It looks really good. The part throttle fuel is still really good, the WOT fuel was really close, so I made a few adjustments there for us.
Vtec kicked in around 4900, so I lowered the rpm to 4700 in the calibration to try to get it to engage at 4850. We'll see how it acts in this next one. Either way though it looks like it's pulling good all over.
I also made some part throttle ignition adjustments since you've been knock free there. It might pick up in the part throttle range with the added timing, if we see any knock we will pull it right back out. But it might feel a little stronger at part throttle.
In this next datalog, keep the 20-30 minute range and the third gear WOT pull. But also throw in a fourth gear WOT pull from 3000-6500 so I can check for knock in fourth gear. Running fourth gear out will get you into really dangerous speeds, so let out between 6000-6500 to be safe.
