Yeah it makes sense that it felt a little sluggish, I pulled 5* of ignition just after the vtec engagement where the knock kept occurring. I was taking out a degree or two for a few files and still getting knock, so I took a bigger swing to make sure it would go away. The knock did go away there, but came up in another area. Always when you make progress, some other portion of the tune has to kick you.

So I put most of the timing back into it around vtec, so this one should feel better. There were a couple knock in the datalog but they happened before you hit the record button, so I don't know where they occurred. We'll see how it looks on this one. Fueling looked great, now we're just chasing the knock.

Here is datalog11. This one feels good compared to the last one. It is a little sluggish compared to Rev09. I didn't see any knock count on this one. Let me know what you think of this log.

Yeah it's a bit of a struggle, I want to keep it performing well for you but I don't want it to knock on you either. 91 octane is our limiting factor here. I ran all your pulls through the Virtual Dyno software and you're right, the Rev09 is the strongest. I've been going through the various files trying to figure out the best strategy. The best I can come up with is, let's go with Rev09 but raise vtec up to 5000. Looking at the fuel tables and the Virtual Dyno data, 5000 is a good place to see how it acts with vtec there. That gets you past the knock area by being on the low cam and engages vtec after the knock area which may yield the best results. Take this one for a spin and see what you think. This is literally Rev09 with vtec moved up to 5000 from 4500. So in theory it should feel exactly like the one you like the best, but hopefully by vtec engaging after the knock sensitive area will remove any knock. See what you think and let me know.

Here is datalog12. This one feels good. I am noticing that the knock is only happening at the Vtec crossover. I am also noticing from no throttle to half throttle in any gear it looks to me that it is running a little lean. The AFR's goes into the 15. area. But half throttle to WOT AFR's look good. Take a look at this log and let me know what you think.

It might be a little lean in the part throttle because we went back two revisions to retest the one you liked, Rev09. It's going to dip into the 15's a touch here and there, you can't hold 14.7 exactly. A plus 10% fuel trim on 14.7 is a 16.17 AFR, so a 15.2 AFR here and there for a second in part throttle is less than 5% deviation from target. I shoot for as many 0's as possible on fuel trims, but within 5% is better than most tuners shoot for.

The knocks in that one didn't happen at vtec crossover. One happened at idle which is most likely false, as we can't control ignition at idle in FlashPro. The second knock was at 6200 rpms. Remember, we've gone back two files so the ignition where the knock is at 6200 rpm might be more than it was in Rev11. We were just testing to see if the knock would go away in the sensitive area from from 4600-5000 rpm in Rev09, which you liked. Which it did help. So we can touch up the fuel in part throttle a bit, WOT fuel does look good. And I can pull some timing at 6200 where the knock occurred in this one.

Let me know what you think. I can only get the fuel trims as close to zero as possible for part throttle, 5% give or take is pretty good by any tuners standards. I would say let's stick with Rev09.1, make some part throttle fuel adjustments and ignition reduction for the knock at 6200 and retest.

The car is feeling great. Keep doing what you’re doing. Let’s do like you are saying and stick with Rev09.1 and do the adjustments. I just wanted to give a little insight on what I was seeing so I could get some feed back from you.

Okay sounds good. Here is Rev9.2, I made some part throttle adjustments and reduced the ignition a bit right where it saw the knock in that last one. Take this one for a spin and we'll see how it looks.

Okay, we're finally knock free, and the WOT fueling looks great. I pulled a little of fuel in the low load area where it had a couple percent rich.

Take this one for a drive and we'll see how it looks. In this one, if possible, make a 4000-7000 rpm pull in fourth gear just so we can confirm no knock in fourth gear. The fueling looks good in third and all, so you don't need to do any third gear pulls unless you want to. Other than that, drive it however you like to drive it and we'll see how it looks. Try to find a spot somewhere on the drive to stop and let it idle for a few minutes, I want to make sure we have the idle fueling as close to 0% as possible.

Man we're so close. Couple knock on the fourth gear pulls you had, so I made some adjustments. I think we might be there on this one, we'll see how it looks.

Fueling looks great, had a couple knock still in one group of four cells. I am trying to creep up on it so it doesn't kill the power like the time I pulled 5*'s out. Honestly all we need at this point are the fourth gear pull datalogs. Sorry man, the joys of 91 octane and the 9th gen intake manifold.

Do you still want me to do 20min drive with the 4th gear pull or only the 4th gear pull?
