FP Manager version 3.1.6.0: P0128 shows up when the DTC is disabled

Post by D-Rob »

Hello,

I have several clients that have updated calibrations using the 3.1.6.0 software and are receiving the P0128 (Coolant thermostat temperature check) DTC code despite it being disabled in the calibration for many months.

I've been explaining to said clients that they do not have a failing thermostat, and that this is a bug in the software.

Can you post the calibrations that are having this issue?

Calibrations were sent a few days ago, by the way.

Thank you.

I see no mention of a fix in 3.1.8.

Should I tell the clients the error is still not addressed?

I'd like to add that 2007 RDX also tosses P0128 when the second ECT sensor is disabled.

An email was sent to support@hondata.com on Friday, October 26th that contained four calibrations.

It has been resent just now.

Should I resent these to a different email?

Our software engineer is looking into this, but it may be a month or so before we are able to test in a vehicle.

Any update on this? Sucks to have to clear the code so often or having to deal with it coming on. Hopefully it's a simple enough fix

Any updates?

I've had my coolant thermostat + coolant replaced, yet P0128 still pops up after 2 cold engine start cycles. Car idles fine, coolant temps are fine, not sure exactly why I'm getting this code. I've updated to the most recent update and re-uploaded my tune. I heard disconnecting my battery for an hour might help but i doubt it.

What vehicle? Are you using ECT2 for an input?

Tuner has my 'Second ECT sensor" disabled under the 'Misc' section, is that what's causing the issue?

I can disable 'Coolant Thermostat temp check (P0128) in 'Misc', but I wanted to leave that as a last resort. Since I just replaced my thermostat, I can disable that without having the worry that my thermostat was busted.

I can email you my calibration

Thanks,
