traction control with hall effect sensors
traction control with hall effect sensors
I'm having trouble with my traction control when the tc unit is switched on as soon as i rev the car the engine misfires the engine runs perfectly with the tc switched off
all the relevant sensor are showing working on the unit
when i first installed the tc i worked well then this year it started to intermittently misfire now it misfires when ever the tc is turned on

Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
Without the calibration, tcc file, and datalogs showing the issue it is hard to speculate on what it could be.
Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
live wheel speeds are showing randum speeds with the car stationary
also with thewheel speed sensors disconnected
not sure how to send the calibrations and data logs on here shall i email you with them

Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
You should be able to attach them the same way you attached the datalog.
The datalog you have provided shows the car not running and no data.

Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
just a quick question i am using hall effect sensors
on the instructions it shows 1k resistor for 5v sensor supply i am using 1k resistor but on 12v will this be causing my issues

Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
Are the sensors supposed to be wired to 5 volts instead of 12 volts?
Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
not shore the diagram shows 5v for hall sensors but in the description it also mentions 12volt
the honeywell 1gt101dc sensors i have have a wide voltage range from 4v to 24v

Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
with all the wheel sensors unplugged i still have mad wheel speed readings
when i cut the speed sensor wires close to the traction control box all the wheel speeds go to zero

Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
im using honeywell 1gt101dc sensors wired as the diagram above from the instructions using a 1k ohm resistor but using a 12volt supply
Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
What is the position of the switch inside the TC box?

Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
its towards the outside of the boxas per instructions
Re: traction control with hall effect sensors
Double check the wheel speed + wires are getting pulled to +12V by the pull up resistors. Do this with a multimeter probing inside the TC enclosure. Be careful not to short anything. Also check the wheel speed - wires are 0V and staying there. Hard to probe those as they are on the bottom.
