CR-Z Gear ratio calibration

I recently just changed my final gear to a higher ratio, as changing final gear ratio would cause the IMA to receive an incorrect gear reading, the IMA would not charge under deceleration and braking (IMA relies on the RPM/Speed to determine the gear and to function correctly).

I was looking to alter my final gear ratio (in the ecu) using hondata but I can't seem to find the screen to do so for CR-Z.

Is changing the Final gear ratio possible? If not would Hondata be releasing an update to allow such changes? I'm currently using Flashpro 1.4.1.

Thanks! :)

We do not re-flash the IMA - it is a separate computer.

Thanks, but the main question is not answered.

The question is

"is it possible to change the gear ratio settings using flashpro on the crz just like the s300?"

If changing is not possible, would there b a future release/update of the flashpro that allows changing of final drive/gear ratio?

The ima ecu takes speed/rpm/ gear reading from the main ecu. So if the flashpro allows alteration of gear/ final drive ratio, the IMA would work perfectly.

No, perhaps in a future release.

there is a chance that correct gear calibration in the ECU would by consequence solve the IMA problem without flashing IMA

what do you think ?

so that makes 2 problems with IMA :
- rev limited to 7100.
- changing final gear suppress regenerative braking.

Datalogging reports stange gear (roughly 1,2,3,4,4,5) but 3 4 and 5 are juming back and forth with the next gear.
The petrol engine works fine; but on the CR-Z this little problem cascade onto the IMA not regenerating power on the brakes.
(this last line is MY hypothesis)

M-Factory did not answer me. JAS was vague, LR-Performance don't touch that.

it looks like racing teams can update a "gear lookup table" somewhere.
(they adapt gear ratos to each track for each race, so the method must exist)

This is a table where the ECU finds a value that helps it calculate in witch gear we are ;
from VSS and RPM.

Please keep me posted on that if any news.

Hello is any improvement with gear-ratio and IMA? Please help to as, because car is now better but i can't using energy form decelarinting.

There are still 2 problems with IMA :
- rev limited to 7100.
- changing final gear suppress regenerative braking.

Also gears are not reported acurately in catalogs, and I think this part is easy to fix,but that is not the most important.

The problem is the car regenerate less electric power and I fear over time the battery don't like that.

Its some improvement, do you able to to modify IMA?

I understand that IMA command is in another ecu.
Obd2 datalog finds 3 different can bus informations for rpm that start to be diffrent as soon as you put a modified final gear.

The autor of harris lap timer was very puzzled an gave up on this.
