CPR kit with agn-1 coils.

Post by Andy Torres »

Would the cpr kit be good enough to control agn-1 coils or they are basically the aem smart coils.

I have 4 agn coils I'm wondering if I require the connector of the cpr kit will work fine with them vs the oem coils. Also the only things needed inside the distributor are the mag pick ups right the icm can be pulled out completely correct?

There is no reason to remove anything from the distributor as it usually only causes more problems.

I do not know what an agn coil is.

Does are the coils. And well you guys pull the wire out of the ecu and replace it with the the one going to the cpr box what would the icm be doing at the point inside the distributor?

No, you cannot use that coil.

There is no reason to remove anything from the distributor. Just de-pin the ICM wire from the ECU or distributor plug.
