cpr nightmare

greetings...
cpr kit was wired into a perfectly running turbo typeR block gsr head set up...
once the kit was installed the car would not start...
upon further investigation the coils were firing EVERY cylinder at once...
all wiring has been triple checked and still wont fire properly...
borrowed the cpr box from a buddy who has a working kit and his cpr box started my car right away, put the cpr box in his car and it did the same as it did in my car, fired on all 4 cyinders at once and wouldnt start...
so with no time to wait around for hondata to deem the part faulty and send me a new one i bought another complete kit...
put the cpr box in my car and it wont start but the borrowed one will still start my car without a problem...
please advise...
thanks...

What are the serial numbers of the 2 CPR boxes? Will the new one work in your friend's car?

Thanks for writing back...
The first kit is already on it's way back to hondata, sent from nolimit motorsports...
I'll get the serial number for the second one when I get home from work...
And the second one did "work" in his car but he said it didn't run right and was breaking up...
His car is one of 9 that were done at this shop without any problem whatsoever mine is the "lucky" one...lol

The serial for the second kit is: cpr1453
And I just also confirmed that the other car DID run fine with the box from the second kit, he just didn't want to trade...

The serial number should be a 5 digit #. Can you double check that serial # please.

The unit sent from No Limit has been tested in my car and is working as it is supposed to. No misfires.

Are you using an OEM distributor or aftermarket? What ECU are you using? What is the code that is printed on the circuitboard inside the ECU (this is usually 11F0 or 1720)?

its an oem distributor...
my car started on the new kit that i bought... wiring was changed and it fired right up...
still makes no sense that the first box wouldnt start the other car tho...
my problem is solved...
do you know when hondata will send back the box to no limit?
thanks for your time/help/responses much appreciated...

I have heard of this problem as i was looking into getting this coil pack retrofit and i was wondering where exactly this serial number is at inside the ECU and with which ECU the retrofit works with so i can buy the right ECU so that it will work?

There is no specific correlation to the board number and something not working at this point.
