Boost cut and other issues with PSI and bar conversation s

Post by Thatbitterlemon »

Bar and psi are not being converted correctly not sure what the software uses as face value but in two places maybe more psi and bar are not converting correctly.

I have 1.4bar set as my boost cut and it's cutting at 5.6psi if you go to boost cut in the software and but in a value in bar then use the drop down to change it psi I should comvert it but it's converting it incorrectly.

Can you please be more specific and include what vehicle this is and post your calibration as well as datalogs showing the issue.

BTW 1.4 bar absolute = 5.9 psi relative which is close to 5.6 psi.

Setting Boost Cut to.. 1.6 Bar have Bar as preferred pressure unit in settings..

1 bar should = 14.50 psi ?

See here after changing the drop down to psi its converted it to 8.51 Psi?

Problem i faced was PSI boost cut was set originally to 18psi (Expecting 18 psi to be boost cut but it want i over boosted hit 1.7 bar on my gauge before i realized.. ) based on this finding i can image the reason why i didnt boost cut was due to it being set as 2.25 bar in reality.. a figure i will never see with set up.

Bar is absolute and psi is relative. What do you want the boost cut to be?
