Idle too high and CEL

Post by JDMdataPRO »

Hi there again, i have a customer who has a 2014 Civic Si with 3.5in Intake (no air leak), TB spacer, Skunk2 header and Invidia Catback, tuned with FlashPro speed density, the problem stared with some random throttle bad behavior, and i check everything and i unlocked the Hondata from the car to check if the TB is not working properly, after that the car had erratic idle and CEL came to tell us: Idle is higher than expected, so the owner decide to take the car to the dealer and they replaced the TB and do the relearn process, the car back to normal driving, he took the car to home and decide to use a BASE Hondata map, check the car and unlock the Hondata again, the car stared to do the same CEL, erratic idle, etc, he went to Honda again and the car back to normal again without Hondata, and he we are.... any idea, FP problem?????? thanks .

When you return the ECU to stock does the problem persist?

Are you tuning this via speed density(MAP based tuning) or using the AFM?

It does not sound like a Hondata related issue. Try removing the spacer.
