Easy way to convert from Race calibration to Hybrid Calibration
Easy way to convert from Race calibration to Hybrid Calibration
Noticed that new flashpro manager version says I shouldn't use a race calibration. Is there any way to convert to a Hybrid tune easily without starting over?
Re: Easy way to convert from Race calibration to Hybrid Calibration
Not really. You can try copying and pasting tables, but some retuning will probably be necessary.
Re: Easy way to convert from Race calibration to Hybrid Calibration
Since my car is running good, what are the benefits of switching to a hybrid calibration? I'm wondering if it is even worth the trouble (or the knocking ;) )
Re: Easy way to convert from Race calibration to Hybrid Calibration
If you want any of the new features you should stop using the race calibrations. Race calibrations are no longer supported and no new features will be added to them.
Re: Easy way to convert from Race calibration to Hybrid Calibration
Ok so no new features on race calibrations. I get that. Are there new features that you find immensely useful? Where no conversion path was provided to upgrade from race calibrations to hybrid maps, that's a big costly pain to start over. When I tuned my car I had to do a race calibrations for MAP fueling. Feature request?
Re: Easy way to convert from Race calibration to Hybrid Calibration
Perhaps let's ask this another way.
Will FPM block me from uploading a race cal to a car?
My concern is if I have a tune on a race cal, and switch between tunes (valet tune and regular tune) that are 'race' tunes, will FPM actually prevent me from loading/editing a race tune until I convert to a hybrid tune?
Are there plans to drop a race tune altogether? I know that no new features will be added, but that's ok. The benefits of a hybrid tune don't warrant me re-paying for a tune, but I don't want to be shut out because of it.

There are no plans to remove the race calibration option from FlashPro.
