How to set up Injectors size in FP manager for correct MPG calculation ?

Post by mabo »

Hi Hondata.

I have weird MPG calculation on the dash with 410cc injectors. Stock size is 310cc. I see the option to change the value but i cant understand what do i need to set there. 410 are around 30% bigger, when i add +30% i still have wrong MPG dash calculation. Is it fixable ? Please advice what to do.

What vehicle / flashpro do you have?
What are the values you are using, and what effect on the displayed mpg do they have?

Hello.

Its EDM CL9 with TSX ECU. Stock value for all calibrations there is 321cc/min. It was rather accurate when i had stock 310cc injectors. Now i have RDX 410cc and i cant find good value to set for correct avg consumption calculation. I added +30% ( 420 ) but i see something like +10-15% correction on dash or even less. Its hard to measure real consumption to compare with dash coz i need to fill the tank to the top, drive a lil and then refill again to measure how much fuel been used.. Maybe you have some tested and proven formula how to calculate that cc/min value ?

Thanks in advance.

That could be why the mpg is off - the injector dead time needs to be accurate. We found the dead times needed to be about 100 us higher than stock for the RDX injector.

some how I don't think my RDX is getting 43.0 mpg but VIT is doing the tuning and I'm not done this session. looks like mid 20's are reasonable though.
