You could think of making some changes in Fuel->Fuel Low and Fuel->Fuel High tables. When you log the car there is a counter of readings on every fuel cell of pressure vs. rpm. Only cells with higher number of readings really matter if you wont to update the fuel amont in that cell for better performance/economy/afr. You could make some color fading for the cells with under than i.e. 200-300 readings that in fact are not important/reliable.

Add basic fuel overrun to fine tune the throttle response.
... And it make it possible to create fun calibrations to WIN noise level tests
... And push the repair shops and engine replacement parts :-D

For example:
At slower speed (specially in urban traffic or in stop and go traffic) at low speed and low gear, it must be possible to make the throttle plate or the injector cut/recover more gentle, slower, so you can not feel any transition/jerk anymore!

I do not mean the already available "throttle dampening function" (where one can put only one hook anyway), rather a freely adjustable function.
The already existing "throttle dampening function" generally affects the opening of the throttle plate and unfortunately also causes jerks when accelerating fast (in every gear).
Here is perhaps a faster opening of the throttle (on fast accelerating) helpful!

It is sometimes synonymous, so that with partial gas and medium acceleration, the car is jerky (which can also be related)?!

A new, freely adjustable function should be installed with which one can get/adjust the accelerator less jerky (more comfortable in every day use)!

I would also agree to drive a few tests for this!

BTW:
And please finally also realize the other improvement wishes/bug fixes (written by me before) in the new version - thanks!

Activate/Deactivate by pressing usable buttons on the steering wheel to manage exhaust crackling/popping. (info/reset or cruise control buttons - whatever is the best to switching the function on/off)

Unfortunately the configuration to bring the K20 to sporty sound by shifting under load is not the best near impossible...
If manually retard the ignition in the first 2 col. the engine will permanent popping if the food is slightly on the gas... So this is wearing out the piston rings - not the short exhaust crackle if shifting in the next gear I think.

Feature request:
#1 Create a checkbox which activate/deactivate auto retard if only the clutch is pressed.
Dependency:
> rev: 3500/3700 rpm or higher
> engine is running middle load as minimum to generate exhaust popping
> offer a additional value box for the target ignition retard for all gears (depending turbo/supercharged and NA tunes) - so we can limit it better to safe the engine depending on the build /adjust the popping frequency noise (exhaust sound tuning)
>> moderate to hard exhaust popping

#2 Additional to activate/deactivate this function "live" via pressing available buttons on the steering wheel would be nice - so we can decide to drive today with exhaust crackling or not. (sport mode)

With this function you provide all FP customers to have a sporty sound if shifting in the next gear only without wearing out piston rings or unnecessary heat up exhaust valve and other exhaust components....

The ECU competitor have a solution for this but my provided way is the best for daily drivers and more flexible.

This feature request will be rounding up a perfect sport/race tune - I think alone this feature will catch a couple of customers and I can offer this as extra tune if requested...

I highly recomment this feature:
Because: Ford, BMW (and Mini), Mercedes, VAG Group have this on board by default in most sport cars!
And I can not provide this feature as a tune for the strong Honda K20's

FlashPro Buttons

What are the conditions after the user press the Program Button in FlashPro?
This because if the user while driving presses the Program Button, the flashing process starts?

This button could have some triggers for different conditions.
For example:
  • Function 1 - Programming/Flash acts only with Ignition On and Engine Stoped (Default, as it is);
  • Function 2 - Activate with Engine Running and enables Full Throttle Shift until next Stop (this is only an example);
  • Function 3 - Trigger a parameter in live map to the ECU, for example another map, press again disable.
    A light in dash could be turned on indicate that is enabled or Programming Light Blinks;
  • Function 4 - Restrict speed limit for Vallet Parking... The speed limit parameter is replace for another value that is in memory;
  • Function 5 - Show a parameter/sensor in Rev Gauge, like Oil Level, AF, S.TRIM, BAT, TPedal, IAT, MAP, ECO, Fuel Used, ...;
  • Function 6 - Functions with multiple actions/triggers,like set launch at xxxx rpm and start datalog;
  • Function 7 - To be develop ... :)
This in FlashPro Manager would be a combobox for selecting the different actions for the programming button.
The first option is the default.. as it is. If in case another option is selected the user only could
program/flash with the computer connected to FlashPro, creating a security feature while FP is in the vehicle.

The Datalog button is very useful and could have similar functions with other different triggers.
In this way we could have two controlled buttons for different triggers, implementing some more features.

By the way... Nice job by placing the Sport Mode in Civic Si.

Trafic Mode feature
Allowing for the engine to run the lowest possible at idle with a cooler temperature.
In traffic the engine will always near 90ºC / 194ºF and this puts the engine with
more heat, creating wear by reducing the lubrication specifications.
This feature allows to minimize emissions, gas, engine wear/damage by maintain
the engine cooler in traffic conditions.
Example, steps :
  1. - Engine is running idle and hot at operating temperature, lets say 850 rpm, with 85ºC / 185ºF;
  2. - Driver enables by pressing Datalog button (previous selected in FPM to be Trafic Mode);
  3. - The vehicle speed is 0, clutch depressed and 10s pass;
  4. - Some parameters are sent from FP to ECU (like Live feature):
    * Engine idle rpm is set at lowest value (lets say: 600 rpm or lower)
    * Radiator fan sooner (example: 3ºC less)
  5. - 5 minutes pass with low rpm, a dashboard light blinks, representing that the engine should stop;
  6. - Driver press the clutch and the values return to normal (previous values);
  7. - Driver press the datalog button or a certain rpm value is reached (for example: reached 2000 rpm) and
    the feature stops.

Idle Shutdown feature
Enable the engine to automatically shutdown after running at idle for a programmed amount of time.
This feature limit the idle time, increasing the vehicle's fuel economy and maintain performance.
A warning light will begin to flash during the last 30 seconds of
the programmed idle shutdown time. Pressing the clutch would prevent engine shutdown.
Example:
- Select the feature in FPM and choose the amount of time, lets say 5 minutes;
- This feature only be enabled if ECT below 90ºC / 194ºF and VSS equals 0.
one other way could be:
  1. - Driver enables by pressing Programming button (previous selected in FPM to be Idle Shutdown);
  2. - Rev counter shows time to idle (for example: 5m = 5000 rpm)
  3. - Driver increase or decrease idle, showing the value through in Rev Counter;
  4. - Set by pressing again the Programming button, to set the value.

Cool-down feature
Warning the driver with a dashboard light to alert that the engine is cooling and
the fan is on. Allowing to proper engine cooling, before engine shutdown.
Example:
  1. - Engine is running with the fan to cool down the engine and the vehicle is still;
  2. - Driver wants to shutdown the engine;
  3. - Warning light blinks, warning that the engine is cooling.

Change Gear
At low cam, blink two iVtec shift lights to change to lower gear, and all light to change to upper gear.
In case case access to iVtec shift light is not possible, use Rev counter like AF ratio.
The RPM shows the representing gear to change when uncorrected engine load is presented.
Example:
  • Driver running at 3 500 rpm in 4 gear;
  • Temporary, lets say 2 seconds, the rev's are placed in 6000 rpm representing to shift to 6 Gear.

Encouraging the driver to operate as much as effectively possible in top gear.
Maximizing time in top gear means the engine runs in a lower rpm range, thus producing increased fuel
economy and improved durability without compromising performance.

AC Engine Braking
Useful In summer days or cold day when AC is turn on in Auto mode.
This feature that allows to activate the Air conditioner in deceleration.
The AC pulley will engage in this way maximizing braking.
For example... the AC is in Auto and with high load deceleration the AC will turn ON.
The added horsepower draw associated with the fan engagement and operation helps to
increase braking. Maximizing brakes durability and longer safer stopping distances.

by the way... I noticed that the launch control feature do not have a upper rpm limit.
What is the safest upper rpm limit ?

Best regards and keep up the good work.

Revert
* Procedure to revert a FW upload gone wrong, a way to revert;

Erase Datalog without PC
* Use Datalog button to Erase all datalogs by pressing for a long period of time, let say 30s
This way the driver can always datalog without needing a PC to delete the logs;

Thanks.

FlashPro Button Controller
Slim Box with switchs that activate FlashPro functions.
For Example:
Connect FlashPro to Diagnostic port and insted of using a cable to connect to a PC... connect to a slim control box with switches.
This switches can be mapped with FlashPro Manager to alter different parameters at a simple touch of a button.
The button/switch just send a controled signal to be interpreted by the FlashPro to activate a specific function.

Looking forward to see the Active Tuning feature in FN2 Civic Type R 2006-2010.
Thanks.

Best regards

Dispose Modal Windows
On the toolbar next to Traction Control have a separator and place 3 buttons to organize the modal windows, in a fast way.
For Example :
  • 1st Button - Place the Sensor list on top left side, on the center the Calibration and on the bottom the Datalog;
  • 2nd Button - Place the Calibration on top left on the top right the Table with Graph and in the bottom the Datalog;
  • 3rd Button - Place the Display on the top and the Datalog in the bottom.
To Save the specific button, the user could press the right click button and choose Save View.
With these buttons the user could organize the working space and focus in the important values.

Expand NA tables
Use more columns to give more fine tuning with the Active Fuel Tuning function.
Use the 16 columns available with boost maps to use in NA map by changing the load columns in fuel, ignition and cam's.
The active fuel tuning will be smoother as the delta changes are small.
For Example, while crusing and at 3000 rmp, 513 mBar:
  • In NA MAP the cell the value is 1684, Column 5;
  • With NA MAP expanded the column representing 1684 is Column 9 with the same value.
The changes in the same cells will be less and the tuning will be more smooth. ("Like the interpolate function")
Example in columns

Hi Hondata,
can you please add option to change indexes of fuel table for Accord International (former TSX CU2)
I have TSX ecu and can do that without any problems, but my clients runs accord ecu and changing indexes is greyed.
so we stuck at 1.4bar of boost and definitely need more )

It would be awesome if you could create a flash pro manager app for both ios and Android, with an adapter that would hook into the USB side of the Flash Pro, and simply reflash a premade tune or return to stock without having to lug around a laptop...... :)

Any chance of that ever happening ? :)

you can store two tunes on the FlashPro unit. Also you can take the dongle with you to a computer to change the tunes. You do not need to lug a laptop around unless you are doing live tuning.
