Temperature compensation for fueling and ignition

Post by engjoo »

I see that some calibrations has compensation for both fueling and ignition (eg TSX-07-MT-1). Some only has fueling (eg CRZ-JP-1).

Is it because such compensation do not exist to begin with from the factory or was it a feature that Hondata cannot implement?

What are the implications of not having such compensation ?

Usually the tables are either calculated (ie not a lookup table) or in a form that can't be presented for editing (which is essentially the same thing).

I'm never had to change any of temp compensation tables in any of vehicles.

OK. Thank you for clarifying.

I suspected (I hope I was wrong) that some compensation is missing for my car which is causing excessive knocks. So I can only assume now that tuning was not done properly.
