The radiator fans are not switched from the engine coolant temperature, but from the radiator return temperature.

I think that in AFM calibration you can't change it? Am I right?

What is the temperature where they should turn on?
100°C or what?

Thanks.

Typically 94C on the radiator return hose. The ECT can be 100-110C, depending on conditions.

FlashProManager V1.1.9.4 changes

Post by Hondata »

Sensor Window
With the Sensor Window you have the option to right justify and/or group sensors. Right click on the Sensors Window for the popup menu with these options.

Image

Lambda Overlay
The lambda overlay now shows a tool tip window with information about the averaged lambda.

Image

Note that due to the way sampled values are applied proportionally to cells, the number of samples is not an integer value.

Autotune

An autotune option is available from the Edit menu. This is a toggled setting, and when switched on will look at the datalogged lambda, plus conditions set under Settings, and make changes to the fuel table(s) as you drive (or on the dyno). Note that this is a fairly slow process, as each cell is changed individually, and when the tables are a long way from the ideal setting this can produce a rather jagged table.

For more information, see the help file

FN2 MAP Fuel Tables

With FN2 calibrations you can now use a speed/density (MAP) lookup for fuel rather than the AFM.

Image

It is possible that there are some conditions which we have not encountered yet which may cause some problems with secondary systems (eg purge), but we have tested this extensively with a forced induction vehicle and believe that the fueling change to speed/density is working correctly.

The starting fuel tables are from US fuel will need to be tuned.

Excellent work guys, very nice features to have!

Student: There's no replacement for displacement!
Teacher: HP is essentially Torque * RPM.

Teacher: So, technically there is no replacement for RPM either.

Hey Derek, nice addition there with the fuel type for the FN2 cals. One thing I noticed there is when you switch to using the speed density tables instead of the AFM look up, the only way to view the speed density fuel tables is via the Tables window and clicking on low cam/high cam fuel. There are no low cam/high cam fuel options under the main Calibrations window, or the drop down on the Tables window.

Edit: can we have this for R18's too please? :)

Looks like pretty quick here there's not going to be any good reason to run a race cal on the fn2.

Any chance of adding 50 degree ignition and fuel tables on all FN2 AFM calibrations now?

I know it can be done very easily.

Cobb did it on AFM calibrations over a year ago. In fact, they made it so you could define the breakpoints for each cam table... so you could have 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 or 0, 5, 10, 20, 30. Or whatever you wanted.

Is it possible to lower the minimum idle rpm to 800 rpm for Civic FD2A? Which is the stock RPM for it.

Agreed, theres no need to run the race cal anymore.

I'll test this in 9 hours and I or Vit will let you know the outcome.

No such thing as a "AFM" cal anymore for the FN2 really.

When we add a feature, it needs to be done the right way so that the car will run correctly. There are implications in changing the cam angle index, which mean all dependent tables need to be adjusted for the new index. It is not trivial. That's one the differences between how we do things and how Cobb did things...

Do you have an oil pressure gauge in your race car?

VitViper: Yes, I'll fix that very shortly.

race cal=map cal and there are so many people at europe to run map cals you know!

many times you're refering for map cals as race cals so i did the same.
Every FN2 MAP calibration has 'race' in the name. They are calibrations for race cars.
In any case, the AFM calibration has MAP based fuel tables.
