JRSC DC5 Best Cam Angles help

Post by beppe786 »

jrsc running 3.2in pulley only hitting 7.5psi

i have an JDM DC5 k20a playing around with all cam angles

ive currently set low cam angles to 30 4000rpm vetc then high to 50 and slight drop at 7000rpm to 40cam

does that seem right to anyone?

It seems right. With a stock exhaust system:
Low cam 40-45 @ 3000 rpm, dropping to 20 at 5000 rpm.
High cam 50 to 6500 rpm, dropping to 40 at 8000 rpm.
With a header you can run higher cam angles on the low cam.

thanks for the reply i already have a toda header and fujisubo 2.5 exhaust no cat / thinking of going 3in

gruppem intake / vtec set to 4000

currently 45 cam low cam / high then 50 cam to 7400 45 to 7000 then 40 to redline at 8600

i was thinking low cam 50 cam all the way to 7700 45 cam then 40cam 8000 to 8600 ?

i have a 3.2in pulley on a k20a jdm car only hitting 7.5psi.. shouldnt it be 9psi on this setup?
