knock % question

Post by soxfan143 »

Hello Hondata. I started a thread on 8th about this as well because I think everyone should have a good understanding of this value. I also would like to know more about reading this. At what knock % value is knock present. I did some logs with the GReddy 650cc base map and saw some knock % well into the 70% area and I did not hear or feel any knock. I did add some timing and did some logs and did hear some very small knocking and saw the % was well above 90%. Now will you only get knock when that value is above 90% or will you get it below there as well? Thanks in advance for any info you can share.

The level depends on the engine speed. At low rpm 10% might be considered knock, at high rpm just over 80% seems to be the threshold. This is how the RSX worked as well.
