CEL on no error code

Post by absolude »

My engine light came on. Did a datalog and nothing shows in the "Error Code" box.
I've only used this feature sparingly over the years and maybe I'm not doing it right?
My car is KW supercharged.

Anyone has any experience with this?

Did you record the datalog on the FlashPro and transfer it to a laptop, or record directly to a laptop?

The error code is only displayed, if you press the play button in the graph window!

Noooo, not again. "Knock Sensor 1 Circuit malfunction". IIRC this is the knock sensor itself.
It happened once before, when someone installed the wrong knock sensor.

I've had some work done to the car, including clutch and tranny and I know the sensor is in the way. Maybe got damaged?
The car is freshly tuned wonder how bad can it be to drive it around like this...

Thanks for the advice, completely forgot how to make it show the error.

Finally got around to change the knock sensor. CEL came on again in about two miles. Dataloged and now really can't pull the code. It does show on the older logs but not the latest one.
Anyone can advice?
Thank you.

Can you post the datalogs when you have this error?

Sure. As soon as I find out how to post it. Only have one log.
