2008 honda civic si slow after basemap

Post by Gus209 »

so after I put on my dc sport cold air intake, k-tuned headers, greddy evo mid pipe, and straight piped muffler I lost a lot of power and i'm getting over 35 knocks on a 25 min drive regular driving. I was using the skunk2 CAI, headers, and catback basemap.

EFICU this is my first datalog with the basemap you sent me in the beginning is a 2nd gear pull, in the middle is a 3rd gear 3800rpm-8600, at the end its a 2100rpm-8200 pull

Hi Gus,

That one looked pretty good. Had some knock during your 6th gear cruising so I pulled some timing around there and added some ignition retard for that gear. We'll see how it looks on this next one, I made a bunch of fueling changes as well. Looked good for a start though. I also made some cam angle adjustments based on what I saw in the datalog.

Take this one for a drive and make the same style datalog.

Hi EFICU

Thank you for the help I really appreciate it the car runs way better now, much more responsive and way faster than it was when I had the other basemap. Here is the new datalog, the beginning is regular driving and at the end I did a 3rd gear pull from 2200 to 8500 rpm.

Hi Gus,

It looks really good in the part throttle fueling. I made a few adjustments on the WOT fueling in this next one. Take it for the same style drive with the WOT pull in third gear and we'll see how it looks. It's definitely very close.

Hi EFICU,

This is a new datalog i just did today sorry for the delay on posting a new one. My last 3 datalogs were to long to upload or even email. The first pull was a 3rd gear pull from 2200-8500 rpm. the second pull was a 2nd to 4th gear pull starting at 2500 rpm. I appreciate all the help by the way.

Hi Gus,

Overall it looks great. Fueling looks really good. We had a few knocks creep up on us, which is no big deal, I made some changes in this next one to address that. I also made some cam angle adjustments in this next file to take a look at how it acts on these new cam angles. We'll see how it looks in the next one.
